The various stakeholders which are directly or indirectly involved in the council include – Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, Ministry of Jal Shakti, Ministry of Chemical and Fertilizers, SFAC, APEDA, NDDB, ICAR, CSIR, NCCD, MPEDA etc. The core functions of Agriculture Council include Public policy advocacy, Promotion of innovation, Training and Research Programmes, Exhibitions, Conferences along with organising workshops, training programmes, panel discussions, round-table meetings etc.
