Federation of Global Chambers of Commerce and Industry. (FGCCI World ) National Council on Textiles & Technical Textile has been working towards the holistic development of textiles industry in India. The council is actively involved in supporting the State and Central Government towards making effective strategies in policy formulation, trade negotiations, and capacity building of Indian business on trade-related issues; dissemination of information & creating greater awareness among the stakeholders; increasing their role and participation in trade policy making.

Increased penetration of organised retail, favourable demographics, and rising income level are likely to drive demand for textiles. The council has been taking up industry representations and organizing various workshops and conferences to understand the industry driven issues and suggestions.
